Better day. Small World.

Surprisingly, I had a great day yesterday! Finally, something new!

It started with me waking up at 9:30 for breakfast with my family... Without my mom. She went to this PLDT workshop in Taytay, and we were going to pick her up after breakfast. We were supposed to be there by 11 am, but then at past 11 we still haven't left the house. We ended up getting there at around 12:30-1 or something.

We waited for mom's officemate to leave so that he wouldn't have to wait for his "sundo" alone. His name was Jun, I think, and he graduated from La Salle. Small world, really, because I learned that Claire Tiamzon and Allan Espinosa (?!), fellow ECE students of mine that are in their fifth year, had their OJTs in their department. Or... well, something like that.

And then I learned that he's the best friend of Tin Boongaling's (Another ECE student in Ateneo) sibling, dunno if it's a guy or a girl. Or... something like that. What year is Tin in anyway? Fourth? Fifth?

Then after he left, I chatted with my mom, something we don't usually do. First I asked her the difference between EE and ECE, and then I asked her what she does as an ECE graduate. Then I asked her if she had classmates or schoolmates in college who now work with her, and she named a few.

Then I remembered what Claire said to me during the GA last friday. She introduced this dude to me whose dad worked in PLDT. Forgot his first name, but his last name was Almendarez. It was a familiar name, so I told my mom about it. She told me that This Almendarez guy had a son in ECE, but then he shifted to... Errr... I forgot where. So yeah, he's no longer in ECE now, but he used to be.

I think the shiftee's name was Christian or something, as my mom said. It was from her that I learned that he was Claire's boyfriend. How come my mom knows this and I don't, huh?! Hahaha...

After that she told me that Christian had a sibling named Carl (did I get it right?), and that my mom was this Carl dude's godmother. Really... Small world...

Then we went to Robinson's to eat lunch. That was at 2 pm. We ate at Pizza Hut, and our Auntie Sally followed us there. She was my dad's cousin Uncle Mike's wife.

After lunch, we headed to their place. No one was home except for Kuya Christian, and he was asleep. Hahaha. So we woke him up so that he'd open the door, and in we went. The kids (and that included everyone present, not just my two siblings) watched Ice Age 2 and then Spongebob the movie.

Sometime while we were watching Ice Age, Carlo (Kuya Carlo?!) arrived. He's the second cousin of mine who is in the same year, graduated grade school in GVS like me (except that he was in GVS Cainta and I was in Makati), now studying in UST, and who says he used to see me in the V. Mapa station of the LRT on his way to school when his train passed by. Then just before the movie ended, Uncle Mike and their yougest son, Kriscini, arrived. We watched Spongebob after that.

After Spongebob, we were supposed to leave already, but then I saw this book on home furnishings and I showed it to my mom. To kill time while we were poring over the book, my dad and Uncle Mike talked about Smart, Wi-fi, Globe, PLDT and other telecommunications stuff. Then they talked about the N70, other cellphones, until finally the conversation went to iPods.

Kuya Christian and Carlo joined in the conversation, and then so did I. Hahaha! Cuteness... 3 second cousins who haven't seen each other in a long time and we were chatting and chatting. Too bad Kriscini wasn't there... I think he was sleeping. Hahaha!

Uncle Mike told us three how lucky we were that we had access to this kind of technology, and that during their time it was my dad who bought them their first radio and their first TV. So when was that? When they were in college?

Talked to Kuya Christian and to Carlo about college... How it was in Ateneo, how it is in UST... Stuff like that. Wow... It's bonding with the boys.:)

Finally it was time to leave, and I reminded my mom that I needed new pants. So we went off to SM Megamall and bought stuff. my sister bought herself a new pair of pants, while I bought myself 3. Good thing there was a sale going on in Mega. I was going to ask for a new shirt as well, but then since we've already spent 2thou plus on pants and we were still going to have our house renovated, I thought it would be better to ask for a shirt another time.

But then... In essence I got myself 4 new pairs of pants, since I could wear my sister's pants anytime. Haaaa... The advantages of being thinner than your younger siblings...

We bought me a new bag as well, and watches for both my siblings. Mom bought herself a new blouse, and Christopher and Christine bought VCDs. Christopher bought Looney tunes, and Christine was reaching for Little Mermaid 2. But then I stopped her and told her that if she was going to buy a VCD she shouldn't waste money on that movie. Little Mermaid 1 is definitely way better.

Then I saw Beauty and the Beast! Favorite Disney movie of all time!!! I told her to get that instead, and she did. Awwww... Favorite.:)

We ate dinner at Jollibee. That was late in the evening already. I think at around 10 or something. Got me a Champ meal.:) It was really fun in Jollibee, because they were playing Eraserheads songs. Fun.:) So the whole time I was eating I was singing along to the songs.

Then we left for home. When we got to the house, I prepared for bed. Brushed my teeth, took a short shower, and then went up to my parents' room and plugged in the Beauty and the Beast VCD.

Awww... I really really missed watching it. I remember when I was young and still didn't go to class, I'd borrow tapes everyday from the video tape rental near our house. I'd watch Beauty and the Beast everyday, until I got to memorize the lines. Awww. Those were my Aladdin, Lion King, Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid, Snow White, and Basil: The Great Mouse Detective days. I really do miss those Disney movies that I used to watch EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Finally I went off to sleep.

Woke up this morning feeling like shit again. Since there was nothing to distract me from the shit happening to me, here I go again. Depression welcomes me everytime...
