Been so busy!
I've been sooooo bizeh lately! And I've got a lot of stuff to blame for that!
First off, let's blame part of my busy-ness on Math21 and ELC. I can't believe I actually spent time STUDYING for these two subjects. Normally I would put off doing the homework until the day of submission, or I would study for the recitation at the last minute, but great goodness... I actually did the Math homework/s as soon as I got home. After that, I studied for ELC until 11:30 in the evening (on both days that I studied) and woke up at 3 am to study some more. Really surprised myself... hahaha!
Next, I've been attending CYA meetings the past two weeks. Wow. Can't believe I'm becoming "active" again after an entire summer of not participating in any activity at all!
Then of course there's PE. Darn PE... Last Thursday we were made to run from Batibot to Gate 3 and back. At first I was okay. I was running! But then, like some people I know, I've got the tendency to run fast/sprint from the start until I get tired, and so I kinda wasted my energy because of that. Maybe around thirty seconds into running I realized that, and so from then I tried to pace myself so that I don't get tired easily.
It worked. I got to Gate 3 without stopping, slowing down only the sligtest bit during the times when I felt that I should. But then on the way back I couldn't help myself. I ran until around halfway from the gate to the lib, but past that I slowed to a walk from time to time. I told myself that I would keep wwalking while I'm under the shade of trees and then start running when i'm finally under the direct sunlight again, but as it happened clouds blocked the sun just at the moment when I was stepping out into the light, so I kept on walking until I finally felt that I've rested enough.
Two days after that, we were made to do push-ups and sit-ups. Of course, our push-ups were modified to make it easier for us girls. I got 14 push-ups until finally Sir Bonoan told me to stop.
Oh, and I failed to mention that while we were supposed to do the exercises in groups of five pairs, me and MY PARTNER ended up doing it with just the two of us in front of the entire class. Hmph... I told him to run for the mats, but no! He had to back away because he "didn't want to stay in the middle mat." Haaay... But it's alright. At least we did it both at the same moment. One moment of humiliation. Hahaha!
After that came the sit-ups, and I had 25 for that. At the very moment that the one minute alloted to us was up, I did the final sit up. I could feel myself trembling in the effort of bringing my body up, and thought I would not be able to make it! Thankfully I did.
And that's that. My abdominal muscles are still in pain from the exertion at the moment, and so I couldn't laugh too much. Let's just laugh in text, shall we? Hahaha!
Then there's also the cheer rally that we attended. Paolo and I ended up watching only the last part when the entire gym was singing the school song. He had this thing to do in the ASEC room, and we left for the gym only at 5:30 with Abby, Nicole, and this Japanese foreign exchange student named Ryoko.
After the cheer rally, we watched the basketball game between the Blue Eagles and the Legends. I was rooting for the Legends, and so was Paolo, but as it is they had to lose. Oh well. Go Ateneo? Hahaha!
That night I texted my mom and dad a different text each to let them know that I was staying late in school to watch the game. In the message I specifically said I wanted to watch "at least the beginning" of the game. I said AT LEAST. I didn't say I wanted to watch ONLY the beginning. At 8:30 my dad called me to say that I should go home because I might not catch the train. I told him I would since there were only a little more than two minutes left, but then in the background I heard my mom yelling "Go home now!" My dad gave her the phone and she told me that I was to go home that instant and no 'buts.'
Of course, I said 'but,' but it's hard fighting against mom. Of course, I didn't go home right after I put down the phone either, even if I said I would. I finished the game and then stood up right at the moment it ended. I lent Paolo 20 pesos because he had absolutely no more money left save for around 5 pesos or something. We both rode the LRT, and he got off at Anonas to ride a jeep from there.
And what do you know... A minute after he got off his mom called, looking for him. I told her that we've separated ways already and that I lent him money to get home. Hahaha! Funneh.:P
The next day, I had to wake up early for the NSTP orientation that was at 7 in the morning. Woke up at 5:30. Actually, I woke up at 5 thanks to my trusty alarm clock *ahem ahem* but got up at 5:30. I really wanted to sleep some more, but I couldn't. So yeah... left home an hour later, met up with Paolo at the u-turn by Mini Stop, and he drove into school.
We got there and around 3-5 minutes later the facilitator finally started. We ended 30 minutes later than we were supposed to, and so Mr. Driver had to rush. Manio and I rode with him and he dropped me off at the LRT station, while they drove off to who knows where he was going to drop off Manio.
Got home and posted pics of Friday and the drive from the orientation.
At around 3:45, me and my family left the house for UP. We were having a sectoral Lord's Day celebration in the Center for Social Welfare and Cultural Development. Or something like that. Basta it's called CSWCD. It's the pink building, according to Cha, and yes, it was pink.
So we passed by SM for a bit since my siblings needed something light colored to wear for their presentation. We got to UP at around 4:30. My siblings went up to the Bulwagand Tandang Sora room to practice, while my parents and I stayed in the car to catch up on some much wanted sleep. We woke up at 5:30 and followed them upstairs.
Good thing we did, too, because it was airconditioned! Yay!!! We waited until 6 for the program itself to start. During the entire time before that, I sat on my seat, feeling the urge to just drop my head and continue my sleep that was cut short. Well, except for the times when I stood up to greet CYA members that I saw entering.
6 o'clock came, and we started off by singing songs such as "In Your Light I See Light" and "How Great is Your Love." Then we sat down for the Lord's Day proper, which involved a bit of praying over bread and wine and then passing it around.
After that came a little bit more singing, and then finally the much awaited dinner. We had to wait until it was our turn to get our food, and when that time came we had to walk to the jam-packed area of the buffet tables. Imagine fitting five tables, one for each district in the sector (A, B, C, D, and E), and having to pass through the space between the railings and the tables that was at the most around maybe two persons wide. And in that small space there were people lining up and getting food from their tables, people passing by from their tables back to the room, and people passing by from the room to their respective tables. How is that, huh?
But then the food was great. Soem people brought great stuff like Dinuguan and Pancit Malabon. Gotta love that.:P
Finally after eating was the FOJ/JYA presentation. FOJ stands for Friends of Jesus, and JYA stands for Junior Young Adults. Some kids danced, some kids sang, and some kids played music. Both of my siblings were part of those who danced, and as I watched them I couldn't help but get jealous.
I want to dance too. I really do. College isn't like high school. You don't get chances to dance unless you're part of CADS or Babble, unlike back in high school. I wasn't part of the AC Hardcourt or the Dance Troupe, and still I had chances to dance during intrams and competitions between the four sections. But I can't do anything about it, can I? Unless of course I join CADS or Babble, which I so do not see myself doing. Can you see me doing that?! Hell no! I'd never get in!
Oh oh oh! There was one presentation where three kids/boys played the guitar, and one girl played the k-hon. Hahaha! Call me a pedo, but I have a crush on one of the kids there, and he's just 13! Bwahaha! Kasiiii! The first time I saw him he was wearing this long sleeved white polo, with the sleeves rolled up until his elbow, and jeans. My closest friends know that I absolutely LOVE guys wearing white polos with the sleeves rolled up. Whenever I see one wearing that I just want to SWOON like crazy, like it's either I swoon or I die. *sigh* Hahaha! Weirdness.:P
Anyway, after the presentations of the kids came the presentations of the different sectors. Hmmm... This part was actually boring, since it was mostly done by the elder members. Hahaha! No offense meant there.:P
Somewhere in the middle, the YA (Young Adults) had their presentation. AGAIN, I saw another one of my crushes! Bwahahaha! But... I think he's around 1-3 years younger. Tsktsk... Why always the younger ones?! Bwahahaha! Anyhoo, he played the part of the dad in their presentation, and I must say he did it very well. He managed to make everyone laugh.
I think he was the same person that my mom has been pointing out to me since I was in high school. Whenever we would have sectoral assemblies she would point and say "Look at him, isn't he cute? Don't you think so?" And I'm always like, "Mom, he's younger than me." But back then he still looked to totoy... Now he looks more... Errr... Mature.
Oh, but he's still got that high school look. Hahaha! High schoolers are soooo easy to spot.
ANYWAY, finally their presentation ended and there were more presentations by the elder members. Haaay... I waited and waited until FINALLY it was time for the UD presentation!
Yezzuh... This was what I have been waiting for! UD stands for University District. Obviously I'm part of this one. But I wasn't part of the performers. Actually, originally guys AND girls were supposed to perform, but I don't know what happened. In the end it was only four guys who danced.
So anyway, they danced to the tune of "I believe" and again I couldn't help but feel jealous. Waaaah! I want to dance, dammit! Grrrr... Haaay. So there, they went and danced and everyone (Including me, of course!) was clapping for them. Weeeee!
After the dance there was this short comedy by Carlos and this other dude I don't know. They sang "Pasko nanaman" but changed the word "Pasko" into "Lord's Day." After that, they sang this song with this weird title that I don't know how to spell, and ffor every word Carlos would make up actions. Like, when the word is "behold" he would pretend to catch a bee that was flying in front of him. And for the word "brethen" he would "brethen and brethout." Get it? Breathe in, breathe out? Hahaha!
Fianlly after that last funny presentation, the night ended. We sang one last song, but I forgot which one it was, and then eveyone started to say their goodbyes. I went off to the UD/CYA people and bid them all goodbye...
And SAW ANOTHER CRUSH OF MINE!!! Tsktsktsk! Hahaha! This time he's older than me. A college graduate, I think. Yes, he's definitely already a graduate, because his younger brother is already in third year college. Hahaha! There! Three crushes from different ages! 13, 15, and 20 plus! Hahaha!
Weird, eh? Why don't I get crushes who are my age? Well, I do, but still... I have a lot more crushes from the other age brackets than mine! Take Jiro Manio, for example! Hahaha! And of course... Johnny Depp, Hugh Jackman, Viggo Mortensen, Colin Farrell... I could go oooon and oooon and oooon...
Waaaah! Is that the time?! 8 in the morning!? I've got class at 9:30, and I haven't prepared myself yet! Waaaaah!!! *rushes off for a bath*
